Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public access to many nonexempt public records, but Mercer County records do not live in one countywide database. Circuit Court, Family Court division, District Court, traffic, probate, criminal, and civil case files are tied to the Kentucky Court of Justice and the Mercer County Circuit Court Clerk at the Judicial Center in Harrodsburg. County Clerk legal records, land records, recorded instruments, marriage-related clerk records, elections, vehicle work, and tax-related records belong to the separate Mercer County Clerk.
The site brings those boundaries together in plain terms. It points to the statewide KYeCourts public access path, the Kentucky docket search, the Circuit Court Clerk, Mercer County Clerk Chris Horn's records office, the Boyle County Detention Center custody channel where relevant, Kentucky VINELink, KOOL, and state vital-record resources. The goal is not to replace official offices. It is to make the routing clearer before someone spends time on the wrong record system.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to the Kentucky Court of Justice, Mercer County Circuit Court, Mercer District Court, Mercer County Clerk, Mercer County Sheriff, Boyle County Detention Center, or any state or federal agency. There are real limits to what this site can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document, recorded instrument, or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Kentucky case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, office hour, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. This site can point to the likely office, but the document has to come from that custodian.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep the reference pages available. We do not control what those tools charge, what records they include, or what appears in their results.
